From Newsday -- Connecticut will soon join four other states that let students receive high school credit for foreign language lessons in community and cultural programs.
Gov. M. Jodi Rell signed the law Friday.
It lets students earn up to four credits toward graduation if they pass state-approved exams to prove their proficiency in the foreign language.
